Air Fried Dahi Vadas


Ruma's Airfried semolina balls, dipped in chilled yogurt makes an unconventional Dahi Vada recipe. It is a great option for people who like their comfort food to be cooked in bare minimum oil.

Recipe follows.


  •  Take a finely diced onion, green chili as per your taste, a chopped tomato, a tbs chopped coriander green, 1/4 tsp salt and half cup of fine variety of semolina. Mix all the ingredients evenly so that moisture from the tomatoes releases and helps in binding the balls. 
  • Then take few silicon cups and put a scoop of semolina batter in each cup.Air fry in preheated fryer at 180c for 20 minuets. The fryer should preheat for four minutes. 
  • Brush little butter on each balls after every four minutes intervals until done. 
  • Then serve on platter and garnish with fresh yogurt which is seasoned nicely with a tsp sugar, pinch of black salt and little roasted cumin powder.  Add a little topping of tomato sauce or tamarind chutney on all the dahi vadas.
