Airfried Chaat (spicy savory mixture snack)
Now we can also prepare popular Indian snack Chaat (spicy savory mixture snack) using the Air fryer. Follow this innovative recipe by Ruma to know more. This will give you the Indian street food flavor but keeping your health in check.
Recipe Follows.
- For this take a cup of whole wheat flour or mixed grain flour. Add 1/4 tsp salt and a tsp melted butter. 1/2 cup of warm water or yogurt. By adding gradually water or yogurt make a soft dough. Roll out some thin air fryer size flatbread and apply butter on it .
- Make some vertical cuts on the flat bread and loosely roll the flat bread.
- Preheat the air fryer at 180c for four minutes then roast the bread rolls for four minutes.
- Here I rolled the flat bread so that it will not fly while the bread is roasting as the weight of the flat bread is not much.
- To give it a lite and crisp texture the breads are made thin. After roasting apply butter on it and keep aside.
- In a fryer pan take a chopped onions, green peas, boiled potatoes, a finely chopped green chili.
- Season with a tsp oil, 1/4 tsp salt and a tsp tomato sauce, roasted cumin powder 1/4 tsp. Mix well and fry for four minutes.
- Make some small cuts on the roasted rolls until you have flakes of the crisp bread and mix with the roasted veggie mixture.
- Transfer it to a serving platter and squueze some lemon juice sprinkle some black salt and chopped green coriander.
