Chicken with Caramalised Cabbage


Ruma's innovative oriental flavor recipe is a very delicious combo of poultry and veggies. As usual her simple & delightful recipes are really healthy. lets take a glance at the recipe.

Recipe Follows:
  • Take 500 g of tender chicken pieces.
  • Marinate with a tsp of freshly ground garlic paste, 1/2 tsp ginger paste , 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, a tsp salt, a tsp dark soy sauce, 1/2 tsp vinegar, a tsp tomato sauce, a tsp oil and sprinkle a tbsp of corn flour.
  • Mix well and keep aside till the other ingredients are ready.
  • For sauteing take two finely chopped onions, two seeded chopped fresh chili, 5-6 chopped garlic and 1/2" ginger finely chopped.
  • In veggies take 4 cups of finely chopped cabbage, 2 cups carrots, green onions 1/2 cups and some chives for garnish.
  • Heat two tbs oil, add chopped garlic and ginger then onions and chilies gradually so that garlic and ginger's aroma comes out prominently.
  • Frying for a minute add the marinated chicken pieces and stir fry till its moisture reduces then sprinkle a tsp cumin powder and salt add the veggies. Stir occasionally and cook covered on a medium heat till the chicken becomes tender and veggies are caramelised.
  • Before serving sprinkle the chives.
  • Enjoy with the main course its delicious.
