Chocolate Parfait


Kasturi's Chocolate Parfait recipe is an easy dessert when you run out of time and option.

Recipe follows.
  • Grind 200 gms of Marie biscuits and chocolate cookies. The mixture has to be coarse. Keep it aside in a bowl.
  • In my food processor, I poured 500 gms of plain fat free yogurt (the yogurt here is creamy in texture, if yours have water content please strain the water out using a cloth and use hung curd), to it add one can of condensed milk, 3 tsp of vanilla essence and chocolate syrup until the mixture looks chocolaty after beating it several times in the food processor. The mixture will be absolutely creamy.
  • Now chop some chocolate truffles coarsely.
  • Next step is to layer everything. In your champagne glass neatly pour in the chocolate yogurt mixture and evenly spread it as the first layer. The second layer has to be the biscuits mix, evenly spread it with a spoon. The third layer has to be the chopped chocolate truffles. Then repeat until you reach the top. The top layer has to be the chocolate yogurt. 
  • Garnish the top layer with a pinch of crushed biscuits and chopped chocolate truffles. Cover it and put it in your fridge for a minimum of 6 hours and let it set.
