Highlight Recipe: Colorful pancakes topped with honey and fresh fruits


TWCT is glad to publish its highlight recipe Colorful Pancakes by our talented home chef Mrs. Aditi Nath from Hyderabad, India. These pancakes are gorgeous and appealing to the eyes and also a very popular choice of breakfast.

Ingredients.


  • flour / Maida 
  • egg
  • tbsp melted butter 
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar 
  • tbsp vanilla essence 
  • pinch salt 
  • 2 tbsp backing powder
  • Honey
Method
  • In a large bowl mix egg, sugar, milk and vanilla essence and whisk it well then add flour, backing powder, salt, melted butter and mix until smooth. 
  • Divide the batter into 6 bowls. Use five different food color to color the batter and leaving one bowl of batter plain. 
  • Melt a small cube of butter in a nonstick frying pan over a medium low flame. Once foaming of butter begins and put spoonful of the pancake batter into the pan. Cook for 3-4 mins then flip over and cook the other side until cooked through and ever so slightly golden brown. 
  • Serve with fresh fruits, honey or ice cream if you like
