Crispy Air Fried Chicken


Ruma's Crispy air fried is a must have, as it's cooked in bare minimum oil.

Recipe follows.


  • Make some incision on the Chicken pieces so that flavor of the spices are absorbed.
  • Marinate the chicken pieces with vinegar and keep aside for 15-20 minuets.
  • Microwave roast these spices(1/4 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander seeds, 1/4 tsp black pepper seeds, 2 de-seeded red chilies,1 star anise, 4 green cardamoms, 1 black cardamom, 1/2 stick cinnamon, 4 cloves and 1 bay leaf)  for 30 seconds then grind them.
  • On the marinated chicken pieces apply 1 tbs of oil, 1 tsp garlic paste, 1/2 tsp ginger paste, salt, and the freshly ground spice mixture mentioned above.
  • Preheat the air fryer at 180c for five minutes.
  • Take  semolina and plain flour in 1:1 ratio and season with salt and spices. Mix well and coat the marinated chicken pieces with this mixture.
  • Then Air fry for 20 mins at 180c until golden brown.
  • Brush the pieces with little butter on both the sides of the chicken pieces in intervals while frying.
  • Plate the pieces and enjoy!
