Highlight Recipe: Pav Bhaji


TWCT is glad to publish today's highlight recipe no.2 , Pav Bhaji by its talented member Mrs. Ferdousi Majumdar from Delhi, India. Pav meaning bread and bhaji is a mixed vegetable mashed and cooked in butter is a popular comfort food in every corner of India. 

Recipe Follows.


  • First boil the potatoes and take out the skin and mash. 
  • In another pan boil cauliflower, cabbage, carrot, beans, and peas and mash all the veggies. 
  • In hot oil add finely chopped onion and saute for a while and add ginger garlic paste and fry for some time till the raw smell goes, then add some finely chopped tomatoes and cook for some time add finely chopped capsicum, salt chilly powder and pavbhaji masala (Easily available at Indian stores). 
  • Add all the boiled mashed vegetables and some water and cook covered for some time. 
  • Adjust the seasoning and serve with butter toasted pav.
  • Garnish with some grated cheese and generous amount of butter and some chopped onions and sliced lemon.
