Orange Kheer (Orange pudding)
TWCT is glad to publish the highlight Recipe for today, Orange Kheer (Orange Rice Pudding) by Mrs. Ferdousi Majumdar from Delhi, India. Her recipe has an interesting take on pudding with its citrusy sweet flavor and is a must have for your dinner parties.
Recipe follows:
- Take two oranges and cut it into halves.
- Take out the pulp from the orange and discard the seeds.
- In a pan heat milk and boil it until the milk gets reduced to one third like rabri.
- Add sugar according to your taste. Cool the milk and add the orange pulp and stir it. Make bowls out of the orange peel, scoop the pith to avoid the bitterness and chill for a while in the fridge.
- Take the orange peel bowl pour the orange kheer (pudding) and add garnish with some homemade sweetened orange zest and serve chilled.
