HIGHLIGHT RECIPE: DELICIOUS MUGHLAI DESSERT DELIGHT SHAHI PHIRNI




TWCT is glade to publish today's highlight recipe Shahi Phirni by Mrs. Ferdousi Majumdar from Delhi, India. This easy to make delish porridge is a great after meal treat.

Recipe Follows.

Ingredients

* 1 litre full cream milk
*1/3 cup of fine aromatic rice (soaked in water)
*Sugar as per your taste
*Cashew nut 15 nos. ( grind into paste)
*Half teaspoon green cardamom powder
*Pinch of saffron soaked in milk
*Dried Rose petals for garnishing

Method

Boil the milk and reduce it into half. Coarsely grind the rice with little milk . Then add the ground rice mixture into the boiled milk. Stir continuously to avoid lumps. Add sugar , cashew nut paste, cardamom powder and the saffron. stirring constantly cook till it becomes thick porridge like. Then let it cool and serve chilled. Before serving sprinkle the dried rose petals. Enjoy it as a after meal treat it's delicious.
