HIGHLIGHT RECIPE: HEALTHY YET TONGUE TANTALIZILY DELICIOUS ASSAMESE WILD HERBS CHUTNEY


TWCT is glade to publish a regional recipe of Assam, healthy yet tongue tantalizingly delicious wild herbs chutney with roasted garlic and tamarind flavour, as today's highlight recipe made by our wonderful homechef Antara Baruah.

 Chutney is an  essential Assamese side dish and this is really a flavourful recipe.

All these used herbs are found in tropical or sub tropical areas and in Assam people included these herbs their traditional delicacies a lot.

Ingredients

The names of the herbs are here mentioned in English and their local Assamese name in brackets.

*Creeping Wood Sorrel ( Tengesi )
*Asiatic Pennywort (Manimuni)
*Sauruiaceaae (Masundari)
*Wild Chayroot (Bon Jaluk)
*Mentha (Gas Poduna)
*Curry Leaves (Nara xingho Paat)
*Long Coriander ( Maan Dhaniya)
*Roasted Garlic cloves as per your taste
*Half inch ginger
*Tamarind pulp 1 tablespoon ( optional, if you add more sour herbs)
*Salt and chilli as per your taste

Method

Thoroughly wash and clean all the herbs and grind it with salt and little water. For a better taste add salt and water after grounded the herbs well. It would be more delicious if you use Rock Morter Pestle for grinding the chutney.

 Enjoy as side this with the main course or as a dipping with snacks, its delicious.
