Highlight Recipe: Homemade Soft Fluffy Pav Buns.


TWCT is glad to publish Mrs. Chinmoyee Bayan's recipe of homemade soft and fluffy Indian Pav Buns as today's highlight recipe. Chinmoyee is from Bengaluru, India and we love the simplicity in her recipes.

Recipe Follows.

Ingredients :

  • Plain Flour 2 cups
  • Yeast 1 teaspoon
  • Luke warm milk 1 cup
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar 1 spoon
  • Olive oil 2 tea spoon


Method :


  • In a bowl take one cup of lukewarm milk mix the yeast and sugar, keep aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes yeast will be active. Then add flour, oil and salt. Made a soft dough , if required sprinkle little lukewarm water. Cover the dough and keep covered in a warm place or compact place for an hour.
  • After one hour the dough will be double . Again knead the dough for 5 minutes. Then divide the in equal parts and place them a greased baking tray. Keep aside for another half an hour as it will help the dough rise nicely.
  • After that they are ready for getting baked. Simply brush with milk on top and bake in a  preheated oven at 180c for 15 minutes.
  • And here is your homemade soft and fluffy Pav Buns ready to be served. Enjoy with your favorite curry or stuffings , its delightful.
