HIGHLIGHT RECIPE : SOYA CHILLI


TWCT is glad to publish today's highlight recipe as delicious vegetarian recipe with oriental flavour, Soya Chilli. Made with Soya chunks this nice flavour recipe is made by wonderful home chef Mrs. Ferdousi Majumdar from Delhi, India.

Recipe Follows

Ingredients:

* Soya Chunks 2 cups ( soaked in water)
* Ginger paste 1 teaspoon
* Garlic paste 2 teaspoon
* Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon or as per taste
* 1 egg
* 1 tablespoon chickpea flour/ besan
* 0il for cooking
* Onion 1
* Green chillies 2 or as per taste
* 1 capsicum cubed
* 1teaspoon Hot and sweet tomato sauce
* 1 Teaspoon dark soya sauce
* Salt
* 1 tablespoon  white sesame seeds(roasted)

Methods

Soak the soya chunks in water for 15 minutes. After that boil it in a cooker with teaspoon salt till it turns soft. Then let it cool and squeeze out the water . Now make a mixture of egg, chilli powder, salt, ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon, garlic paste 1 teaspoon and the chickpea flour. Marinate the soya chunks with this mixture well and keep aside for 15 minutes. Then deep fry the marinated soya chunks.

For saute take  an another pan heat 2 tablespoon oil and fry the remaining garlic, ginger paste well, Then add the green chillies and onions, cook for couple of minutes. After that add the capsicum with red chilli powder, required salt,  hot and sweet tomato sauce and dark soya sauce.

Stirring well add the fried soya chunks and cook for another couple of minutes. Before serving sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds on top. And here is your sizzling Soya Chilli is ready to serve. Enjoy as a side dish it's delicious.
