HOMEMADE DELICIOUS INDIAN CLASSIC DESSERT RECIPE SWEET BOONDI IN ORGANIC FOOD COLOUR
TWCT is glad to publish today's highlight recipe Sweet Boondis by Mrs. Chinmoyee Bayan from Bangloore , India. This Indian classic dessert recipe, colourful Sweet Boondi she made it perfectly, using organic food colour and we love this. Recipe Follows:
Ingredients:
For golden boondi
*Gram flour/chickpea flour 1 cup
*3/4 th cup water
*Purified butter/ ghee 1 tablespoon
For red boondi
*1cup Gram flour/ chickpea flour
*3/4 cup Beetroot juice
*1 tablespoon purified butter/ ghee
For sugar syrup
*1cup water
* 1 and 1/2 cup suger
*Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
*Green cardamom 4nos.
Methods:
For Golden Boondi :
Mix all the mentioned ingredients in a mixing bowl continuously for five minutes then keep it aside for rest for 10 minutes.
For Red Boondi
Take another bowl and mix all the mentioned ingredients for Red Boondi for five minutes then keep aside for rest for 10 minutes.
For sugar syrup
In a large pan add water 1cup and sugar 1and 1/2 cup. Heat it in medium high flame until sugar dissolves. Add the lemon juice into the sugar syrup too. Heat the sugar syrup until it forms threads that are just pliable. Add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, mix well and keep aside the syrup.
Now heat well generous amount of oil for deep frying the Boondi in a pan. With the help of a extra large deep frying strainer with holes, deep fry the Boondis.
For this hold the strainer on heated oil and pour the ready batter gradually in the oil so that it can form round droplets. Fry the Boondis batch by batch like this.
After frying put them into the sugar syrup, mix well and keep for an hour. Enjoy it with your favourite beverage tea or coffee it's delicious.
