HIGHLIGHT RECIPE: HONEY CHILLI POTATO






TWCT is glad to publish their Highlight Recipe Honey Chilli Potato made by talented home chef  Tapashi Bhagawati from Mumbai, India. For this very basic , easy and delicious dish, please follow her recipe.

Ingredients:

1. 2 tablespoon oil
2. potatoes 4-5 (cut into strips)
3. onion one (chopped)
4. 3-4 cloves garlic ( crushed)
5. capsicum 1no ( chopped) optional
6. tomato ketchup 1 teaspoon
7. schezwan sauce 1 tablespoon
8. soy sauce 1 tablespoon
9. chilly sauce 1 teaspoon
10. sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
11. honey 1 tablespoon
12.sugar 1/2 teaspoon
13. freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon
14. corn flour 2 teaspoon
15. salt to taste

Method:

Heat some water for cook the potatoes and when water start boiling , add the potatoes, oil, salt and cook for 5 minutes, then immediately strain it and rinse thoroughly under the cold tap water.

For saute, heat oil in a pan and saute the garlic, sesame seeds and onions till it turn translucent. Then add the tomato sauce, soy sauce, schezuwan sauce, chilly sauce, sugar and honey for a thick sauce. Stirring constantly add the cooked potatoes and stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Stirring constantly add the corn flour , sprinkle the black pepper and fry for another a minute. Before serving sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds and enjoy.
It's a delightful appetizer , specially children must love this.
