HIGHLIGHT RECIPE:SHORTBREAD NANKHATAI




TWCT is glad to publish today's Highlight Recipe popular Indian melt in mouth Shortbread Nankhatai made by Wonderful Home Chef Prity Bhagabati, from Dehradun, India.

Recipe Follows:

Ingredients:
1. Plain flour 100g
2. Semolina 20g
3. Purified butter 70g
4. Sugar 55g
5. Baking soda 1/8 teaspoon
6. Rose essence few drops
7. Cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
8. Milk 2 tablespoon
9. some chopped pistachios

Method:

Take butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and blend it well. Add all the dry ingredients one by one and mixing well knead a dough.

If required sprinkle little milk.

Make some small balls from the dough, coat with some chopped pistachios and flatten like cookies.

Bake all in a preheated oven at 160c for 15-20 minutes.

After baking let it cool completely and enjoy.
