HIGHLIGHT RECIPE: CARAMEL BANANA CAKE UPSIDE DOWN



TWCT is glad to publish wonderful Home Chef Jyoti D Rabha's amazing Banana Caramel , Upside Down Cake as today's Highlight Recipe. Jyoti is from Dibrugarh , Assam, India.
Recipe Follows:

For cake batter I have used 
One and half cup of plain flour 
4 ripe bananas 

Half cup of sugar 
1tsp of baking powder 
Half tsp of baking soda 
A pinch of salt 
Two-third cup of oil and one tsp of vanilla essence 

For caramelising I have taken around 5tablespoons of sugar and three tablespoons of water..Next , cut the bananas and place them upside down in the pan.. Pour the batter gently over the bananas and caramel and smooth the top. W hile baking the caramel will thicken and become sticky.


After baking, let the cake cool for 5 minutes before inverting it onto a plate. Five minutes is enough time to let it cool otherwise it will stick to the bottom of the pan. Enjoy after completely cool down the cake, it's delicious.

You can Air Fryer bake it too at 180c for 16-20 minutes.
